This division covers an area of 40 acres. The Company preserves top quality Brooder Fish in this division through which, by application and implementation of updated methods of artificial reproduction and hatching, very high quality spawns / fries are produced. The Company also has its own nurseries where methodical production of various types of fish is carried on under strict scientific invigilation and supervision.

To maintain a definite high standard of production and ultimate supply thereof, the Company has adopted the system of “Oxygen Packaging” of the above-mentioned spawns / fries, which are conducted by vastly experienced personnel. A pertinent point worth mentioning here is that by adoption of this modern and unique technology in mass fish production, it has been possible for the Company to produce various types of fish like varieties of Rohu, Prawns, Grass Carps, Silver Carps etc. in the same water bed, obviously resulting in cost reduction and consequential improvement in profits.
Moreover, along the periphery of the various ponds, fodder plants and hybrid napier grass have been planted so that this area also becomes the grazing ground for the cattle maintained in other divisions. It is obvious that the droppings left behind by these animals are channelised through proper pipelines into the ponds, and is utilized as food for the fish. In effect this total chain is beneficial for the production of healthy fish both in terms of quality and quantity and therefore plays a vital role in the contribution to the profitability from this division. |
